Hello, I’m Simon.

I am a level designer studying at Futuregames in Stockholm.

Creating and building new worlds is something I have always loved. As a child I realized my ideas by building wooden forts and making maps in Warcraft 2, today I am using level design as a tool to continue creating worlds.

I aim to always keep creativity and playfulness as the foundation of my work. My goal is to create spaces that encourage the player to explore and interact with the world in their own way.

Previously I have been involved in the organization DONNA, which aims to include more women in the game industry. I firmly believe that a diverse workplace makes better end products, and a key component of making that happen is to actively seek out and invite people that have been overlooked as gamers in the past. By expanding our view of who the typical gamer is we keep challenging ourselves as developers to make better levels, stories and games.

To me, communication is the most important part of the work process. Any project is possible if you keep an open mind and open ears, and a good work environment is essential for creating great games.

In my free time I enjoy playing board games with friends, reading and knitting. I also love going on hikes in the woods and exploring new exciting places.
